Magneto High-Range Rev Limiter with RPM Switch

The ETC Inc. High-Range Rev Limiter with RPM Switch was designed to be used exclusively by Nostalgia Racers, giving them engine protection as a high-RPM rev limiter and also an RPM Switch for use with a shift light.

This unit is a unique control device that has been designed to work with all Mallory Magnetos. Models are also available for the Vertex standard internal coil and external coil magnetos. Other types of ignition are available on request.

Adjustable RPM limiting is provided by an adjustable push wheel switch which selects the RPM in increments of 100 from 2,000 to 9,900 RPM causing a switch point when the RPM exceeds the set point.

This product does not short the mag or alter the magneto performance in any way.  It is completely safe with a supercharged engine and will not cause backfire. This unit has been disigned using the newest linear, digital, and power devices. The device weighs only 8 ounces and is small in size at 4.0" x 2.25" x 1.80". Over all it has a mounting plate with holes for grommets or Dzus fasteners. It has been designed to operate in the presence of mechnaical high electrostatic ignition noise generated by magneto ignition systems.

The RPM Switch operates seperately from the RPM limiting and can be set by separate pushwheel switches. The adjustment range is from 2,000 to 9,900 RPM in 100 RPM steps. When the engine RPM exceeds the sat value, a single pole, double throuw 20 amp rated relay opeartes. The relay's normally open (orange wire), common (green wire) and normally closed (gray wire) contacts are available to the user. This arrangement allows the user to use the relay to control any device selected.
